If you got married during the time of Jesus people would throw you a seven-day wedding feast. Your family and friends would put their lives on hold for an entire week to join you in celebration. And they would do it because they believed your marriage was that sacred, that exciting, and that honorable. Marriage was a big deal. Marriage required a really long party. Society wanted and needed marriages to flourish.
Somewhere along the way we lost the sacredness, excitement, and honor of the marriage relationship. We believe it is time to put marriage back in its proper place. It is time to celebrate marriage. At Celebrate the Sacred we will combine insights from the Bible, a pastor, a licensed marriage counselor, and a licensed family therapist. We will talk about topics like reclaiming the significance of marriage and the uniqueness of your own marriage. And we will have an interactive experience for spouses to discover new, unique things about one another.
We need a shindig like this now more than ever. We need our marriages to thrive.
Whether you just got back from your honeymoon and can still hear wedding bells, have been married 50 years and think you’ve seen everything, or are in the middle of a difficult season and wonder if your marriage is going to make it, this day is for you. Join us as we Celebrate the Sacred!
