Much of the summer, we collected money to help provide school supplies, backpacks, and health services to children in our area. Because of your generosity, we were able to send $4,600 to Hope Active, the organization putting the event together. Thank you!
As we reflect on the lectionary texts this year I want to encourage you to read the texts we do not cover during our Sunday morning gatherings at home.

We have many things happening in the life of our community that help us deepen our communion with God, and that help us deepen our communion with others. I'd like to take a few minutes to share them with you.

I want to bring you up to speed on some exciting changes that our coming to our worship space next month. As we announced in our worship gathering yesterday, the elders of ECL have approved a plan to renovate our stage area in the worship space at 218. Our new stage space will include a more "Table-Centric" design (centering the communion table in front of our stage), larger stage surface area, and off-stage-storage.
With over 30 members in our band, we have outgrown our current stage, and need more space to fit our ever-growing group of musicians and vocalists. This new stage will enable us to include more folks in our band each week, as well as provide more opportunities for creativity in our musical worship expressions.
Hello, Church Family!
Last December we began using the Revised Common Lectionary to guide our sermon texts each Sunday. Not only does using the lectionary unite us with the global church, it also allows us to cover almost the entire Bible in three years. For the next five weeks we are going to pause and do an in depth study of the book of Colossians.
I have good news about our school supplies fundraiser. We have exceeded our $2,000 goal! The final day we are accepting donations will be July 14. All money raised will go to provide school supplies, back packs, and health services to children in our area through Hope Active. Let's see how much we can raise!
